North East Essex - Therapy for You (IAPT)

Therapy for You (IAPT), provided by Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT), makes a range of talking therapies available to anyone over the age of 16 who lives in North East Essex and is not currently receiving secondary mental health care or crisis service input.

People accessing IAPT will generally require support for depression and anxiety related problems, including phobias, social phobia, single event trauma/ PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), issues of self-esteem, post-natal depression or difficulties with long term health conditions.

MIND, Colchester

They offer lots of different types of help to all ages. The Children and Young People’s services can be accessed by anyone aged 5 – 18 years while adult services support anyone over the age of 18. The way you access the services depends on the type of support you need and where you live.

A provider of online mental health services for children, young people and adults.  Kooth, from XenZone, is an online counselling and emotional well-being platform for children and young people, accessible through mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use.

Eating Disorder Service

The Eating Disorders Service is a specialist service designed to assess and treat moderate to severe eating disorders. They primarily help people who are suffering with Anorexia Nervosa and Bulimia Nervosa and variations of these eating disorders.

TeenTalk

Teen Talk offers a free and confidential information and support service to young people aged 11-25 years old that allows young people to self-refer, has no time restrictions and where no appointment is necessary. Referrals can also be accepted by parents/carers, schools and other agencies.
